Earlier this week, I did a chat on ustream about Peril. It's the third one we've done, but the first that we recorded. Here it is in its entirety:

Jeffrey,
ReplyDeleteJust finished listening to your excellent chat on "Peril." Interesting to follow the show process it takes to make an film. I have one question myself if you don't mind. With "The Last Lullaby" did you go to Max Allan Collins and Peter Biegens with a story idea in mind. Also, did Collins an Biegens work together or separately. Actually, I guess I had two questions...
John, first off, thanks so much for taking the time to have a listen. That's incredibly kind of you.
ReplyDeleteAs for your questions:
1. THE LAST LULLABY actually started as an expansion of a short film I directed in 2002, entitled A MATTER OF PRINCIPAL. Both the short and feature are based on Max Allan Collins' short story "A Matter of Principal". I read the story and then went to Max and expressed my interest in turning it into a short film.
2. Really, for LULLABY, Max and Peter worked separately from one another.
Thanks again, John! Really appreciate your taking the time to watch this!
